Our Italian Red is a 2024 DOC Piemonte Barbera, grown in certified-organic vineyards. It has a bigger body, with notes of dark fruits like blueberry and fig with nice chocolate notes on the nose and palate. The tannins are bigger yet velvety and smooth, with balanced acidity. This wine drinks beautifully on its own, but also pairs perfectly with risottos, cured salumi, charcuterie boards, and grilled meats. Bigger body, rounder mouthfeel, with a classic Medly smoothness that's approachable and easy to enjoy.

"I thought it was a little weak at first. Plus it was warm from being shipped. The ice pack was dried out and hot. After a couple of days inside our A/C’d home, the wine was much better. So far I’ve enjoyed a few glasses after dinner. I will continue buying it and will be trying the white as well. Going forward, in my opinion, you need to include more or better ice packs for shipments traveling several days or more."
