AARON MOORE
CEO of Medly
Aaron started his wine journey in his early twenties while working in fine dining restaurants. What started as a job that paid the bills while attending university quickly evolved into a full-fledged passion for food, wine, and hospitality that led to running several successful fine dining restaurants for more than 10 years. Eventually, his passion for wine took the forefront. He left the restaurant industry to run a boutique organic winery and vineyards in southwestern Colorado.ย
The years that followed were a journey through the beverage industry that took him to most states throughout the U.S., working with, learning from, and cultivating relationships with industry leaders within every tier of the alcohol beverage system. Aaron has developed sales and distribution networks for several startups that have since grown into large operations. He has worked for some of the largest beer and wine brands in the world, and has led large divisions within the largest wine and spirits distributorship in the U.S.ย By being open to change and seeing every role as an opportunity and a place to learn, Aaron has developed a unique and broad skill set.
Throughout the course of his career, Aaron watched with dismay as much of the industry has transitioned [from making wine from good fruit] to engineering wine in laboratories. Aaron knows that the best wines come from quality fruit, which can only come from good soils cared for by true stewards of the land. Thus, the focus of Medly Wine Co. is organic and low intervention wines with a focus on sustainability, organic farming, and a biodiverse environment that enriches the lands and lives of the people that steward of them.
Since 2022, Aaron has spent much of his time living and working in the Mediterranean. From there, he works closely with his European winemaking partners, creating unique, organic, and biodynamic wines that are representatives of the soils and places that they grow. He and his family regularly visit the vineyards, wineries, and families that are Medly partners. Aaron is devoted to continued education in everything related to the wines that represent the people and generations of land stewards.
